EU Court Clarifies Domain Name Rules For Trademark Owners

Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- The European Union's high court on Thursday clarified rules for obtaining ".eu" domain names, finding that only companies with an established presence in the EU could take advantage of a special exclusivity period meant for trademark holders and their licensees.
