6th Circ. Rebuffs US On Evidence In GM Trade Secrets Trial

Law360, New York (July 20, 2012, 6:44 PM EDT) -- The Sixth Circuit on Friday upheld a district court in excluding evidence it called prejudicial against two electrical engineers who face trial for allegedly scheming to steal trade secrets about hybrid-car technology from General Motors Co. and offer the information to a Chinese rival.

Shanshan Du, a former GM employee, and her husband, Yu Qin, were charged in 2010 with wire fraud and possessing and attempting to possess stolen trade secrets from GM, to benefit their jointly owned company, Millennium Technologies International Inc.
