Chinese Firm Seeks Legal Fees From $60M Apple IP Settlement

Law360, New York (July 23, 2012, 4:41 PM EDT) -- The Chinese law firm that represented Shenzhen-based flat-screen display maker Proview Technology Co. Ltd. in its tussle with Apple Inc. over the iPad trademark in China has sued Proview for legal fees after helping it win a $60 million settlement from Apple, according to Monday news reports.

The Grandall Law Firm claims that Proview agreed to pay legal fees of 4 percent of the settlement amount, which amounts to $2.4 million, but that the company has yet to pay the fees, according to a report by...
