Union-Relations Privilege Will Catch On After Alaska Ruling

Law360, New York (July 24, 2012, 9:09 PM EDT) -- Alaska's highest court on Friday became the first state supreme court to recognize an implied statutory privilege for communications between unions and employees during a disciplinary or grievance proceeding in a decision that will likely spur other state and even federal courts to recognize a union-relations privilege, attorneys say.
