EPA Lacks Central Permit Compliance Database, GAO Says

Law360, New York (July 23, 2012, 7:38 PM EDT) -- A U.S. government watchdog said in a report publicly released Monday that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency does not have an adequate central system to monitor compliance with preconstruction permits issued to fossil-fuel electricity generation plants, particularly in the coal industry.
