DOJ Antitrust Nominee Knocks Leegin At Confirmation Hearing

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 8:02 PM EDT) -- Arnold & Portner LLP's Bill Baer, the president's nominee to run the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust unit, told lawmakers at his confirmation hearing Thursday that he supported reinstating a ban on retail price maintenance, saying the U.S. Supreme Court's Leegin decision created too much confusion for businesses.
