Judge OKs Feds' Texting Charges Against Ex-BP Engineer

Law360, New York (July 24, 2012, 10:19 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge ruled Tuesday that prosecutors do not have to provide a former BP PLC engineer accused of deleting text messages related to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill with greater detail of the charges against him.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan said in her order that the indictment was sufficient in laying out the criminal charges against Kurt E. Mix.
