Del. Expands Infection Reporting Law To More Facilities

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- A Delaware law requiring hospitals and prison health care facilities to publicly disclose infections acquired during treatment has been expanded to cover other facilities in the state and ramp up infection control, after the amended statute was signed into law last week.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell signed House Bill 403, called the Healthcare Associated Infections Disclosure Act, into law July 20.
