Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 3:52 PM EDT) -- Leading Asian medical equipment company Terumo Corp. has lobbed a 50 billion yen ($640 million) merger offer at Olympus Corp. in an apparent bid to muscle out Sony Corp. and others vying for a stake in the struggling endoscope and camera maker, Terumo confirmed Thursday.
