Layoffs Expected After Fulbright Offers Severance Packages

Law360, New York (July 26, 2012, 6:09 PM EDT) -- Houston-based Fulbright & Jaworski LLP has offered staff, including a large number of secretaries, voluntary severance packages in a move that may lead to layoffs, a former lawyer at the firm said Thursday. 

The firm announced last month that it was offering a voluntary severance program to salaried, nonexempt staff members, including secretaries, billing assistants and project assistants, according to an emailed June 29 memo obtained by legal website Above the Law.
