Md. Fines Constellation, Orders Fly Ash Clean-Up

Law360, New York (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Constellation Power Source Generation Inc. and dump site operator BBSS Inc. have agreed to pay a $1 million penalty and clean up drinking water that was allegedly contaminated by the companies' fly ash disposal projects.

The companies signed a consent order with the Maryland Department of the Environment on Monday under which they are required to remediate groundwater contamination from fly ash reclamation projects at a Millersville, Md. gravel mine owned by BBSS.
