China Says US, EU Cos. Dumped Chemical Solvents

Law360, New York (July 30, 2012, 1:39 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce on Monday moved to impose provisional anti-dumping measures against U.S. and European Union manufacturers of two chemicals commonly used in varnishes and paint solvents, after finding evidence of dumping that injured domestic producers.

The Ministry of Commerce, known as MOFCOM, found in a preliminary determination that there was a casual link between the alleged dumping of U.S. and EU imports of ethylene glycol monobutyl ether and diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and material injury to China's domestic industry.
