Jury Finds Dupont Negligent Over Waste Site

Law360, New York (October 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A West Virginia jury has found DuPont was negligent in its treatment of a 112-acre waste site believed to be contaminated with arsenic, cadmium and lead, with some residents fearing their exposure to the area may lead to health problems.

On Monday, the jury delivered its verdict against DuPont in Harrison County Circuit Court, marking the end of the first phase of a four- part trial, according to the AP.
