Continental Holdings Settles Fla. Gas Plant CERCLA Suit

Law360, New York (July 30, 2012, 5:11 PM EDT) -- Continental Holdings Inc., the alleged corporate successor to a Florida manufactured gas plant, on Monday settled a lawsuit filed by three power companies and the city of Orlando seeking remediation costs for the Superfund site.

William Leonard Pence of Baker & Hostetler, LLP, an attorney representing plaintiff Tampa Electric Co. subsidiary People's Gas System, said the settlement agreement is confidential.
