Pfizer Execs Must Face Nigerian Clinical Trials Suit

Law360, New York (October 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of ten Pfizer Inc. officials reportedly must be present in a Nigerian courtroom to face allegations that the drug giant carried out illegal clinical trials that killed or disabled children.

A judge in the northern state Kano on Wednesday ordered papers served to Pfizer’s retired chief executive, William Steere, and nine other Pfizer officials compelling them to attend the next hearing in the state criminal case, slated for Nov. 6, Dow Jones reported.
