Total Follows Other Oil Giants Into Kurdistan, Spurning Iraq

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 6:07 PM EDT) -- France's Total SA became the third big oil company to flout Iraqi oil officials and pursue more lucrative contracts in semiautonomous Kurdistan, announcing Tuesday that it had bought into two Kurdish blocks owned by Marathon Oil Co.
