Oil Group Pressures State Dept. To Wrap Up Keystone Review

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 7:51 PM EDT) -- The oil industry on Monday called on the U.S. Department of State to complete its review of TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline quickly, arguing delay was unnecessary because regulators have already vetted the project.

In comments submitted to the State Department, the American Petroleum Institute said regulators should restrict analysis of the controversial oil sands pipeline to a proposed 88-mile reroute around environmentally sensitive parts of Nebraska.
