FTC Online Fraud Enforcement Bill Clears House Panel

Law360, New York (July 31, 2012, 7:59 PM EDT) -- The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted Tuesday to recommend a bill that would reauthorize online fraud enforcement provisions that allow the Federal Trade Commission to share information with foreign counterparts.

The panel moved the legislation extending the Undertaking Spam, Spyware, and Fraud Enforcement With Enforcers Beyond Border Act of 2006 to the full House in a voice vote during a markup of several bills. No amendments were added to the bill.
