NJ Co. Faces Uphill Climb In Lance Armstrong Trademark Row

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Attorneys for a New Jersey beverage company on Tuesday vowed to fight the Lance Armstrong Foundation's bid to block their trademark application, accusing the Livestrong-branded charity of using its clout to improperly monopolize the term "strong."

The statements come amid the foundation's opposition proceeding with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office over KIDStrong Enterprises LLC's application for a brand of dietary supplement drinks called "Prostrong," which the charity claims would infringe its near-ubiquitous Livestrong brand.
