Boston Scientific Victory Creates Incentive To Settle Patent Dispute With J&J, Analysts Say

Law360 (July 5, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Medical device maker Boston Scientific Corp.’s victory last week in a patent lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson could help the company push through an agreement to settle the companies’ acrimonious battle over drug-coated coronary stents, analysts say.

On Friday, a federal jury in Delaware found that Johnson & Johnson's method for coating its Cypher stent with drugs infringed on a patent held by Boston Scientific.
