Olympus Tells DOJ Of Possible FCPA Violations In Brazil

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 9:09 PM EDT) -- Olympus Corp. has turned over information to the U.S. Department of Justice about a possible Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violation related to a doctor-training program in Brazil, the company's chairman said in a Wednesday report.

Olympus Chairman Yasuyuki Kimoto said the company, which is among the leading makers of endoscopes, had discovered “irregularities” at the Brazilian training program and had presented its discovery to the Justice Department.
