Yuengling Sued Over Oktoberfest Beer Label IP

Law360, New York (August 1, 2012, 4:40 PM EDT) -- D.G. Yuengling & Son Inc., the fourth-largest brewery in the country, was hit with a copyright infringement suit in Pennsylvania federal court Monday over the design of labels for a new Oktoberfest beer to be launched this September.

New Jersey graphic designer Adam D’Addario, who worked with the company for 20 years, alleges that after he designed labels and provided them to the company, the brewery discontinued their relationship and began producing labels that were slightly modified versions of his work.
