Edwards Calls For Stronger Antitrust, Pricing Laws

Law360, New York (October 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In sweeping comments made this week, presidential hopeful John Edwards said regulatory enforcement efforts and the current laws were insufficient to protect consumers and small businesses from “greedy corporate powers.”

With his statement, issued in response to an invitation the American Antitrust Institute extended to all the candidates, Edwards said proper enforcement was lacking because corporate lobbyists had too much sway over Washington policy-makers.
