Pfizer Wants Mirapex Claims Kicked To Curb

Law360 (October 4, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Pharmaceutical titan Pfizer Inc. on Wednesday asked a federal judge to dismiss several plaintiffs' fraud claims in litigation over its controversial drug Mirapex, echoing pleas it made a month ago.

In its motions to dismiss, Pfizer said the plaintiffs' claims that it had sought to intentionally deceive consumers about the drug's link to compulsive behavior amounted to “mere speculative suggestion” and could therefore not be pled.
