Ex-Pemco Employees Lodge WARN Suit Over Mass Layoffs

Law360, New York (August 6, 2012, 4:52 PM EDT) -- Former employees sued bankrupt Pemco World Air Services Inc. in Delaware on Friday, claiming the commercial aircraft maintenance firm unlawfully failed to give almost 500 employees enough notice of planned mass layoffs at its Florida facility.

Lodged as an adversary case in Pemco’s bankruptcy pending in Delaware, Ethan Willock claimed that the company violated the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which required businesses to notify workers at least 60 days in advance of potential employee layoffs.
