Enel, GE Unit Team Up For $305M Minn. Wind Farm

Law360, New York (August 6, 2012, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Italian renewables leader Enel Green Power SpA has closed a three-way deal to purchase a Minnesota wind farm from a regional developer and then jointly bankroll the $305 million power project with a subsidiary of General Electric Co., according to an announcement Monday.

The 200-megawatt Prairie Rose wind farm, which is due to come online by the end of the year, will receive $149 million from project manager Enel, a growing presence in the North American renewables market, while equity partner GE Capital unit EFS Prairie...
