Travelers Sues To Avoid Trayvon Martin Claim

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America has sued Trayvon Martin's mother as well as the Sanford, Fla., homeowners' association where the teenager was shot, claiming the insurer has no responsibility to cover Martin's death.

In a suit filed Aug. 1 in Florida federal court, Travelers said the policy it issued to The Retreat at Twin Lakes Homeowners' Association Inc. excludes losses for claims arising out of or involving bodily injury, sickness, disease or death of any person.
