Sun Reporter, Police Officer Arrested In UK Bribery Probe

Law360, New York (August 7, 2012, 2:58 PM EDT) -- A reporter for British tabloid The Sun and a U.K. police officer were arrested Tuesday in London in connection with an ongoing investigation into bribery by News Corp. journalists, as the media giant continues to face fallout from a cellphone hacking probe.

London police announced they had arrested a 37-year-old male journalist and a 29-year-old police officer as part of Operation Elveden, their probe into allegations of inappropriate payments to public officials.
