Over 500,000 Toys Pulled Over Lead Paint Worries

Law360, New York (October 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- More than half a million children's toys, including Baby Einstein toy blocks, cups shaped like Frankenstein, and a variety of wooden toys, were recalled Thursday over concerns that they contain dangerous amounts of lead.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a wave of recalls on Thursday for the Chinese-made toys, including 63,000 Frankenstein tumblers imported by Dollar General Merchandising Inc., and 35,000 Baby Einstein Discover and Play Color Blocks distributed by Kids II Inc.
