Ecuador, Peru Ink Crude Oil Transportation Partnership

Law360, New York (August 8, 2012, 7:02 PM EDT) -- State-owned fuel company PetroPeru SA has agreed to allow the transport of Ecuadorian crude oil through Peru's Norperuano pipeline in connection with Ecuador's plans to expand its crude oil market, according to news reports published Wednesday.

The agreement with Peru will require an investment of about $300 million for infrastructure on the Norperuano pipeline, which stretches from the Loreto region in northeastern Peru to the Pacific port of Bayovar, Dow Jones reported.
