Federal Circuit Revives SanDisk's Patent Suit Against Memory Makers

Law360 (July 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has reversed a summary judgment of non-infringement in storage memory maker SanDisk Corp.’s patent lawsuit against rivals Ritek, Pretec and Memorex and sent the case back to district court.

The case was appealed from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, which in 2003 granted summary judgment that various Flash memory devices made by these defendants did not infringe the claims in SanDisk’s patent.
