Japan Firms To Merge To Create IP Powerhouse

Law360, New York (July 11, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japanese law firm City-Yuwa Partners will absorb Ohba, Ozaki & Shimasue, one of the country’s leading intellectual property boutiques, as part of an effort to create a legal powerhouse for IP and technology services.

The merger, planned for September, will create a law firm with a staff of 66 lawyers and keep the name of City-Yuwa Partners, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported in its Saturday morning edition.
