Law360, New York (August 10, 2012, 4:38 PM EDT) -- A Kentucky federal judge on Wednesday allowed construction to proceed on a $4.5 billion, long-delayed plan to build two bridges over the Ohio River connecting southeast Indiana to Louisville, Ky., but gave groups challenging the project until February to submit final claims.
The February briefing deadline “should allow ample opportunity for opponents of the project to challenge it. However, the schedule should not delay defendants' anticipated contractual and construction activities during this time," Judge John G. Heyburn II said.
