Safety First: Minn. Reviews Changes To Excavation Laws

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 1:15 PM EDT) -- On Aug. 8, 2012, the Minnesota Office of Pipeline Safety (MNOPS) vetted proposed changes to the state’s excavation laws in a stakeholder meeting. The MNOPS does a great job of maintaining transparency, engaging stakeholders and providing guidance to the industry so there are no “surprises.”

This statute review forum encouraged participation from industry and the public on issues related to protecting damage to underground facilities and ensuring public safety.
