US Officials Probe Jensen Farms Over Listeria Outbreak

Law360, New York (August 14, 2012, 8:52 PM EDT) -- The U.S. attorney's office in Colorado has opened a criminal investigation into Jensen Farms, a bankrupt farm whose cantaloupes were connected with a Listeria outbreak last year that killed at least 30 people, according to an attorney for some of the victims.

The office approached Marler Clark LLP managing partner Bill Marler three weeks ago in connection with his clients' cases, he said. Marler represents 42 people in lawsuits over the outbreak, including 20 people whose family members died.
