Jury Awards Fresenius $95M Tax Break Due To FCA Settlement

Law360, New York (August 16, 2012, 6:27 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts federal jury on Wednesday said that Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. can deduct from its taxes a $95 million portion of a total $486 million the company paid in 2000 to settle criminal and civil allegations that it defrauded government health care programs.
