FTC Urged To Prevent Gas Price Gouging After Refinery Fire

Law360, New York (August 17, 2012, 3:12 PM EDT) -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., called on the Federal Trade Commission Thursday to prevent oil companies from gouging consumers following a Chevron Corp. refinery fire in California that lowered supply, a statement that comes as he’s positioned to helm the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
