Federal Worker Bias Complaints Fell In '11, EEOC Says

Law360, New York (August 20, 2012, 9:19 PM EDT) -- Fewer federal employees and job applicants filed discrimination complaints against government agencies in the 2011 fiscal year than in the previous year, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said in a report released Monday.

The agency's annual report on the federal workforce shows that in fiscal year 2011, 15,796 individuals filed 16,974 complaints alleging employment discrimination against the federal government, marking a 3.5 percent decrease in complaints and a 4.2 percent decrease in the number of individuals filing complaints from the 2010 fiscal year.
