Bills To Strengthen Child Safety Rules Pass House

Law360 (October 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A package of bills geared toward boosting child safety by strengthening recall notification requirements, upping the civil penalty cap and adding safety provisions for certain products has passed the U.S. House of Representatives.

The four bills approved in the House on Tuesday include the Product Safety Civil Penalties Improvement Act, the Danny Keysar Child Product Safety Notification Act, the Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act and the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. They will now go on to the Senate.
