Rx.com Sank Before Late Antitrust Suit, Says Blamed Firm

Law360, Houston (August 21, 2012, 10:51 PM EDT) -- A Haynes and Boone LLP attorney told jurors Tuesday during the firm's malpractice trial in Texas state court that mismanagement of a defunct Internet pharmacy — and not the untimely filing of an antitrust suit the company wanted to pursue — led to Rx.com's demise.

Firm partner Patrick Hughes said Rx.com founder Joe Rosson and Alliance Unichem Plc, a major investor in the online pharmacy, had sued each other over the company’s failure long before Rosson decided to pursue a potentially lucrative antitrust claim.
