Actavis Sued Over Generic Oleptro Plans

Law360, New York (August 23, 2012, 1:30 PM EDT) -- Italian drugmaker Aziende Chimiche Riunite Angelini Francesco Acraf SpA hit rival Actavis South Atlantic LLC with a patent infringement suit in Delaware federal court Tuesday over Actavis' plans to make a generic version of antidepressant Oleptro.

Actavis notified Angelini in July that it had submitted an abbreviated new drug application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, seeking to manufacture 150- and 300-milligram dosages of trazodone hydrochloride tablets, the generic equivalent of Oleptro, the complaint said.
