Dole Recalls Salad Over Possible Listeria Contamination

Law360, Chicago (August 23, 2012, 4:17 PM EDT) -- A Dole Food Co. Inc. unit said Wednesday it is recalling 1,039 cases of bagged salad after a random sample of the product tested positive for the dangerous bacteria Listeria monocytogenes, the same bacteria that prompted another Dole salad recall in June.

The recall affects Dole Italian Blend salad in 10-ounce bags that carry a use-by date of Aug. 20., the product code 0049N2202008 and the UPC code 7143000819, Dole Fresh Vegetables said in a notice on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's website.
