Pa. Enviros Challenge Permit For WPX Energy Gas Well

Law360, Philadelphia (August 23, 2012, 8:02 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania environmental advocacy group Monday asked the state’s Environmental Review Board to reconsider a permit issued to WPX Energy in March for a natural gas well pad the company is building in the northeastern part of the state.

Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future contends the state’s Department of Environmental Protection failed to consider the effect of stormwater runoff from the project being built in Liberty Township in Susquehanna County by WPX Energy Appalachia LLC.
