Judge Asked To Rethink Sanctions In $10M Superfund Fight

Law360, Philadelphia (August 23, 2012, 8:25 PM EDT) -- The director of several entities battling more than $10 million worth of environmental cleanup claims over a Pennsylvania Superfund site asked a federal judge Monday to reconsider sanctions the judge imposed after ruling the defendants had refused to comply with a 2010 discovery order.

Ronald Satterfield, the director of Chromatex Inc., asked U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo to reverse his decision finding him in contempt of court, claiming in a motion that he was still in the process of attempting to produce documents for plaintiffs...
