Aredia Plaintiffs Lose Dental Monitoring Bid

Law360, New York (October 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a blow to a group of Aredia and Zometa plaintiffs, the judge overseeing the product liability suit involving the bone cancer drugs has rejected calls for the establishment of a dental monitoring class in the multidistrict litigation against Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell denied the class certification bid of patients pushing for dental monitoring, arguing that the group of plaintiffs had not satisfied the conditions necessary to merit that status.
