Group Challenges 2nd FAA Approval For Cape Wind Project

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 4:00 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts nonprofit on Wednesday asked the D.C. Circuit to review 130 aeronautical studies on which the Federal Aviation Administration based its second approval for the Cape Wind offshore wind farm in Nantucket Sound.

The FAA last week approved New England developer Energy Management Inc.’s project, which would be the first offshore wind farm in the U.S., saying it posed no hazard to air traffic over the waters off Cape Cod, Mass.
