TTAB Won't Grant 'Bagel Thins' Trademark To Bimbo

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 7:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Trademark Trial and Appeal Board recently ruled that Grupo Bimbo SAB de CV failed to prove its descriptive “Bagel Thins” mark had sufficiently acquired distinctiveness to merit trademark protection, but reversed a finding that the name was generic.
