EPA Forces Emissions Cuts At NM Power Plant

Law360, New York (August 24, 2012, 5:31 PM EDT) -- The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday issued a final rule requiring the owners of the massive coal-fired Four Corners Power Plant in New Mexico to install pollution controls to reduce emissions that have impaired visibility in the region.

In a Federal Register notice, the EPA said it was imposing a federal implementation plan on the power plant forcing it to cut nitrogen oxide emissions by 80 percent and make similar reductions in particulate matter.
