Beverly Hills Plaintiffs To Get $10M From Frontier Oil

Law360, New York (October 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Frontier Oil Corp. and its subsidiaries have agreed to dole out $10 million to settle five consolidated lawsuits launched by over 400 plaintiffs in Beverly Hills over emissions from oil producing facilities on their school campus.

Frontier and its units, including Wainoco Oil & Gas Co. and Veneco Inc., will pay $6.2 million, while their insurance provider will cover the rest, the parent company announced on Friday. The agreement is subject to approval by the Los Angeles Superior Court.
