NY Has Recovered $1.7M In Medicaid Overpayments: Auditors

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 3:49 PM EDT) -- The New York State Department of Health has recovered some $1.7 million in Medicaid overpayments, marking some progress in addressing roughly $53 million in overpayments the state comptroller’s office targeted in a 2009 audit, but indicating that health department officials have far more work ahead of them, state auditors said Friday.
